Future Linear Colliders
Tor Raubenheimer, SLAC
Discuss the design issues in a future linear collider with consideration to both beam dynamics and technological limitations. Course will start with discussion of the overall parameter determination and then review the issues and limitations in each of the major subsystems of the collider. It will concentrate on designs based on normal conducting rf and will utilize examples from the SLAC/KEK X-band designs. Prerequisites: familiarity with dynamics in linear accelerators and storage rings.
